During this time of global physical distancing, location based experiences are shifting to virtual ones. Four leaders in this space will discuss the impact of this explosive virtual growth and the opportunities for fan engagement. We will close the event with a DJ set in VR from TribeXR!
The event will be hosted in VR on Mozilla Hubs. Even if you don't have a VR headset, you can join any browser (mobile/laptop/desktop) and YouTube Live stream.
Amy LaMeyer is Managing Partner at the WXR Fund investing in early stage companies with female leadership that are transforming business and human interaction using spatial computing (VR/AR) and AI. She has been named one of the people to watch in AR by Next Reality. Amy speaks frequently on spatial computing, investment and music tech at conferences like SXSW, VRAR Global Summit and Reuter’s XRS conference. She has been interviewed by Wired magazine on Concerts in VR and authored the chapter on Sound and AR in the book “Convergence: How The World Will be Painted With Data”.
Christina is the CEO of Metastage, an XR studio that brings performances into digital worlds through volumetric capture and complementary tools. Volumetric holograms can be experienced in augmented reality using mobile phones, high end AR headsets, or 3D displays. Metastage uses the Microsoft Mixed Reality Capture system and is located in Los Angeles. Prior to leading Metastage, Christina was the CEO of VR Playhouse, an immersive content company based out of Los Angeles. She is a recipient of the Advanced Imaging Society's Distinguished Leadership in Technology Award and was named in the Huffington Post as one of 5 women changing the virtual reality scene. She has contributed to over 90 immersive projects and comes from the world of journalism, radio and television
Anne McKinnon is an XR consultant and writer at TheBoolean.io. She is actively engaged in innovation at the intersection of music, the arts, gaming and immersive technology. Anne is US project lead for the band Miro Shot, exploring the next generation of live performance and fan experiences with AR, VR and 5G. Miro Shot's live VR concert has featured at sold out shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Hamburg, and London, and will tour in 2021 as a part of their debut Album "CONTENT." Alongside Believe Recordings/ All Points, East City Management and Miro Shot, Anne is a part of redefining music business.
Amaechi is the manager & business partner of Grammy-nominated & gold-certified act Run the Jewels. In addition to overseeing the RTJ enterprise & growing several verticals (music, publishing, licensing, touring, apparel, e-comm, cannabis, craft beer), Amaechi also spearheads the group’s award-winning creative marketing campaigns, including augmented reality (ARTJ), virtual reality (VRTJ), street art (Tag the Jewels) and art gallery shows (Art the Jewels). After spending the past few years at Monotone Artist Management, working with acts like Jack White, Danger Mouse, Vampire Weekend & LCD Soundsystem, Amaechi recently formed a new hybrid company, Fourm Arts & Science, focused on bringing context to content via Management, Marketing, Media & Metrics, and is currently working on the launch of 1OVE AFRICA, a non-profit focused on raising awareness & resources for issues & initiatives of importance to the African diaspora.
