In honor of Women’s Equality Day, Verizon 5G Lab and the WXR Fund in partnered with Kaleidoscope and Darragh Dandur to host an interactive, immersive event.
The goal was to connect women in the XR space and provide them an opportunity to learn and discover new opportunities. It was largely attended by startup founders, creators, corporate partners, investors, and allies who support building a more inclusive ecosystem.
The event kicked off with a Showcase of projects submitted to the Femme Futures Grant and live presentations from a variety of consumer and enterprise women-led startups. People who attended the event had the chance to meet the featured creators and entrepreneurs directly as well as network with other attendees in topical conversations. These facilitated discussion topics included fundraising for startups, as well as project, design, storytelling, building partnerships, and more!
The event took place on PixelCanvas a virtual reality platform but was desktop accessible (laptops, PC and Macs).

BehaviorMe is a VR company producing simulations for the caring fields, starting with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Simulations are composed of specified trainings to prepare and expose new therapists to what therapy is like before stepping foot into a therapy session with a child or an adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Savitude’s Design Communications SaaS Platform, for brands and retailers, expands beyond the hourglass body shape using design intelligence to personalize clothing design and current fashion trends for all body types for confident fit and appearance. Savitude engineers sat side-by-side with designers to create the AI Explorer, ideating clothing designs updated with the latest trends while remaining true to brand DNA. Designers and merchandisers can gain input from valuable colleagues while getting to market faster.
